John McCain 2008 Announces Minnesota Leadership
February 2, 2008
ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced its Minnesota Leadership Team. Congressman Jim Ramstad (R-03) and Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek will serve as Co-Chairs of John McCain's campaign in Minnesota. Former U.S. Senator Rudy Boschwitz will serve as Honorary State Chair and Governor Tim Pawlenty will continue to serve as National Co-Chair for the campaign. These Minnesota leaders join the growing grassroots organization on behalf of John McCain's candidacy leading up to the Minnesota Caucuses on February 5th.
"I am very pleased that John McCain's efforts in Minnesota continue to gain momentum," said Governor Tim Pawlenty. "He is the one candidate who can unite the Reagan coalition of fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, and national security conservatives, and lead our Party to victory in November."
"Tough times call for tested leadership, and John McCain is clearly the most tested, experienced and capable candidate running for president," said Congressman Ramstad. "Above all, John McCain is a person of complete integrity which is essential to restore trust and respect."
John McCain thanked the Minnesota leadership team, saying, "I am very proud of the team we have assembled in Minnesota, and I am thankful to each member for his support. With their support, I am confident of our success on February 5th."
